Wolfgang Van Halen is back swinging with another cut from his upcoming album The End, and this one’s a filthy groove-monster.

The Grammy-nominated riff machine, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and all-round sonic overlord has unleashed “I Really Wanna”, the third track to drop after his US Active Rock chart-topper The End and the recent stomper The Spell.

“I Really Wanna” is a straight-up funk-fuelled rock belter, dripping with swagger and showing off Wolfgang’s ridiculous chops on every damn instrument. Produced once again by longtime partner-in-crime Michael “Elvis” Baskette, it’s a track that feels both playful and razor-sharp—classic Wolfgang with a fresh bite.

To top it off, the single comes with a brand-new video filmed in none other than the legendary 5150 studio, the very room where the magic went down.

Wolfgang Van Halen is heading to the UK for something seriously special. This Friday night, Mammoth WVH’s main man—joined by Jon Jourdan—will be in Kingston upon Thames for a rare and intimate In Conversation event, complete with a stripped-back set. Hosted by Banquet Records, the one-off takes place at St John’s Church, with doors at 7pm. Expect stories, riffs, and a chance to see Wolfgang up close and personal before The End lands.
