Sweden’s YEAR OF THE GOAT Unveils New Album Trivia Goddess with Haunting Title Track

It’s been six long years in the shadows, but Sweden’s occult rock conjurors YEAR OF THE GOAT are finally back. Their fourth studio opus, Trivia Goddess, lands this Friday, September 12 via Napalm Records and it’s every bit as spellbinding as fans could hope.

To mark the occasion, the band have dropped the album’s title track along with a brand-new video, a majestic yet sinister hymn that drags listeners straight into “the great noise” – the grim period when, over just eight years, 280 people were accused, convicted, and executed for witchcraft.

Invoking Hekate, the Greek goddess of witchcraft and mother of all witches, YEAR OF THE GOAT turn Trivia Goddess into both a haunting tribute and a chilling soundtrack for a dark age. The release also kicks off their album launch tour this weekend in Sweden, with more dates to follow (full list below).
