Deftones have just announced their tenth studio album, private music, dropping August 22 via Reprise Records. It’s their first full-length since 2020’s Ohms.

To pre-heat the interest, the band already published the lead single “my mind is a mountain,” which landed on July 10.

The album was recorded in Malibu, Joshua Tree, and Nashville, with long-time collaborator Nick Raskulinecz back behind the desk. Expect crushing atmosphere, mood swings, and all the emotional weight this band’s known for.

To celebrate, Deftones are hitting the road again. The second leg of their North American tour kicks off August 22 in Vancouver, the same day the album drops. They’re joined by a killer support lineup including Phantogram, Idles, and The Barbarians of California, plus two epic shows with System Of A Down in Toronto.

The Deftones are entering a new era and it sounds massive.
